A Boudoir Valentine’s Day Session

The week before Valentine’s Day, my friend and classmate Hillary Hogan and I got the opportunity to delve into a new market for us: boudoir photography.

Boudoir is a lovely style to explore; I think it is wonderful for people to celebrate their bodies and natural beauty, and do so in a romantic, sexy, but tasteful way. Hillary and I worked hard to transform her already beautiful apartment into a boudoir-style studio for our session.

Our client, Sammy, gave us permission to share select images from her session and use them as marketing materials; we never share images without clients’ consent, whether they are of a more personal nature like boudoir, or simply head shots. That’s just good business!

Here are some of my best shots from the day:

And here are some of Hillary’s best shots (we both worked as photographer and assistant on this assignment):

As a girly-girl myself, I had so so so much fun styling and executing this shoot with Sammy: lace, pearls, netting, satin? What could be better?!?

I have so many more ideas for romantic and sophisticated poses, I hope another boudoir client comes our way again soon!
